Lilima Montessori High School requests additional funding to train another teacher

Lilima opened in January 2017 with 22 students in a temporary location. They have since moved to a permanent location and have prioritized training teachers to maintain the authenticity of their Montessori program and to ensure the sustainability of the school. When one of their long time teachers was retiring they knew they wanted to train another guide. This training is immensely important as they are the only Montessori High school in the country and are carrying the torch as a leader in this wonderful education system. Lilima was founded as a place where children who do not fit into the traditional education system in Eswatini are welcomed. As stated in their application, “Education needs to be inclusive in every sense, there are no other schools providing this opportunity for adolescents in our community. Lilima needs to grow and reach its full potential as an exceptional learning community.” MGGF is proud to have provided funds that enabled Montessori teacher training for the Lilima Montessori High School.
