MTÜ Kadrioru Montessori Kool trains a teacher

In Estonia Montessori must operate outside the traditional public school system, thereby limiting its availability. Founded by parents who wanted to create an opportunity for children to receive primary education using the Montessori method, a non-profit organization came to life as a community initiative whose main goal is to enrich the local educational landscape by providing Montessori-interested families with the opportunity to choose an educational direction that aligns with their values and principles. A shared dream of an authentic Montessori kindergarten and school class emerged. The community served is culturally and ethnically diverse, with families from various backgrounds, including Estonian, Russian, and other European and non-European origins. 

In order to achieve their long-term goal of integrating Montessori into the Estonian educational system another school was planned and will open in Fall 2024.

In order to sustain this long-term initiative and also provide an authentic Montessori environment for their students MGGF has the privilege of granting funds to train a new Montessori teacher for Kadrioru Montessori Kool. Future plans include providing a practice center for Estonian Montessori teachers and also fostering community development through parent education workshops and community events.
